Responding To Fortnite’s Marvel Crossover, PUBG Teams Up With DC To Make All Maps Ridiculously Dark And Hard To Enjoy

I’m sure by now, you’ve heard of the team-up that shocked everyone.

That’s right: Fortnite has partnered up with the team behind the blockbuster hit Avengers: Infinity War, bringing their player base a brand new, limited time, Marvel Cinematic Universe themed event, Infinity Gauntlet, which offers you the opportunity to play as Thanos, the terrifyingly strong, Mad Shrek Titan himself.

In an attempt to win back the market and compete with Fortnite’s new game mode, the dev team behind PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has partnered with Warner Brothers’ own collection of films, The DC Expanded Universe! Players will be able to experience the maps they know and love, both Miramar and Erangel, through the eyes of visionary DCEU director, Zack Snyder.

Just a few of the details you’ll find in the new game mode include:

  • TEAM UP ACTION. Tired of fighting everyone you come across? Well, enable that voice chat! Because if you and an enemy discover that your mothers have the same name, you’re automatically made into your own Justice League!
  • HOP INTO THE DIRECTOR’S CHAIR. PUBG Corporation, working with Zack Snyder, have decided to show you the way Mr. Snyder sees the world! Play your favorite Miramar and Erangel maps, but with half the color saturation! Holy gray, Batman!
  • POSSESS THE POWER OF SUPERMAN HIMSELF. If you’re able to find the Man of Steel’s signature cape, which is hidden on one of 15 random spawn points, you’ll take up the mantle yourself, gaining his powers!
    • See through walls!
    • Insta-kill with a punch!
    • Fly around the map!

(Edit: Last perk removed due to 50% of players already able to do this through hacking.)

So hop onto PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds sometime in the next four weeks in order to enjoy this super-powered event!

Or just, you know, keep playing Fortnite.
